After these six weeks I am feeling more balanced than ever! I love how much I learned and feel like I can take away from this program. Sara provided us with so many tools to stay on track and make my fitness goals attainable. Sara has been so amazing to work with and is so attentive! It is a breath of fresh air from all the fitness programs all over Instagram. Over the last six weeks I lost 12 pounds and wasn’t killing myself in the gym! I would recommend this for him to anyone who is struggling to find consistency and balance or just needs a new routine!

I was a little scared when I saw the plan because this is WAY more food than I normally eat and way more often, but I'm also giving 100% and promised to follow to a T and I feel great as well! Love this group!

Day 3, woohoo!! Feeling great and feeling a smidge more energy creep in. This is the first program I’ve literally followed to a T. I don’t know about everyone else but I used to get personal trainers, they’d write me my meal plans then id take out things “oh thats too much food” or add things “I need more fruit in my life” and low and behold I never lost a single pound. This time I promised myself I’d give this an hones shot and I’m super excited I did so. I hope you all are enjoying program as well!
PS. I weighed myself this morning ladies, I’m down 6 lbs.

Is it weird to say that after only 3 days I feel better? My belly is starting to shrink, which tells me it was inflamed and didn’t like what I was feeding it. I am sleeping better, more focused during the day, this is great timing because my business is growing so fast I can’t keep up. This was the superpower I needed. Go Get em girls!

It felt so good to have a plan going into this week, it felt great to be back on track and eating and working out. I trained for a bikini show a few years back and stayed super lean up until the end of last year. But I did so by killing myself in the gym and hardly eating. This week I’ve had more energy than I’ve had in YEARS because I’m actually fueling my body and not killing myself for an hour on the stair master then an hour of lifting. Slowly but surely developing a POSITIVE relationship with food and I love it. I hope everyone has a great weekend and stays goal minded through it!

I met Sara about 3 years ago during a photo shoot with some mutual friends. At that time I was an avid runner and considered myself to be sufficiently “fit”, I’d always taken pride that I was able to stay within the same weight range of 3 lbs. It wasn’t until last year, in the fall of 2010, that I’d put on a solid 5 lbs that I simply could not shake. It affected every part of me as a “runner” and a person. I was absolutely miserable. It was after consulting the office of a plastic surgeon who advised me to get the “smart lipo” procedure that I called Sara for advice. She and I met and shortly thereafter I began working out with her twice a week. I realized almost immediately that my concept of working out and being in shape were jaded and came from a “runners” perspective, a far cry from reality. The first thing Sara did was require that I keep a food journal, logging everything I ate through the day. She emphasized the importance of eating a clean diet and gave me nutritionally sound suggestions of what to eat. My diet and eating habits were horrible and as a result my body was suffering. She also helped me realize that running, while a great form of cardio, is pretty much just that. It is one of many ways to get cardio vascular exercise but doesn’t do much in the way of building strength or the muscle that the body needs. I started to feel better after our first week of working out. During this time, I also committed to competing in my first fitness competition, The Mile High (bikini class). It was upon the making of this decision when my perspective on life and fitness became grounded. Sara created a diet and work out plan for me, based upon my needs, and the results were undeniable. I feel better and look better than I have ever before in my life. The physical competence I gained through this journey is more than enough for me to give my recommendation that anyone looking to better their physique work with Sara Hurrle. However, because of who Sara is as a person, I also gained an inner strength and belief in myself, that has been absent for far too long. Sara is absolutely amazing, and she possesses the ability to motivate while instilling the drive and desire to succeed. My experience with her has been in valuable and I would recommend her training to anyone who is looking to better themselves.

Working with Sara as a trainer competing for the first time in a NPC competition was not only necessary to my success but an unforgettable experience.
Having had a prior bad experience with a trainer, and only 6 weeks leading up until my first competition, I started asking around Armbrust Gym who I could reach out to help me. Without hesitation, not 1, not 2, but 3 people said Sara Hurrle was THE go to person for what I was looking for. After a brief but meaningful consultation, all my worries and anxieties quickly dissipated. Her in depth knowledge of the sport, the human body and how it can alter with diet/workouts, and the care she took in really wanting to learn what drives me and my motives for entering a competition made me quickly realize just how special of a person Sara is.
Then came the first introduction to Team Inside Out.
I will never forget going to my first Friday practice at Armburst with some of the other girls that Sara trains. I was excited and nervous, but soon found solace in the fact that everyone there that was also competing felt the exact same way I did! Working out and posing with the girls, having them and Sara as allies to discuss the struggles we were going through, complaining and laughing about the diet…all these things were something that I viewed as an added bonus of being able to train with Sara. I am also confident that there aren’t that many trainers out there like Sara who is as dedicated to the team as she is.
Sara is attentive. She believes in her team at times when we tend to not believe in ourselves. She has a tough love approach that earns her respect. I have found everything I’ve wanted in a trainer, and look forward to working with her for many years to come.

I started my fitness journey in October, 2014. Not knowing Sara or the extent of what I had just signed up for, I buckled up and braced myself for the ride. I am only six months into this trip and I have not only made physical and mental changes, but lifestyle changes as well. With a slow start to my transformation, I found myself getting frustrated, however; Sara Hurrle made sure I understood the process and to simply “Trust It.”
Day by day I trained hard and remained focused. Sara provided a detailed meal plan specific to my body and schedule, as well as an agonizing agenda to knock out at the gym. Some days were better than others but she was always there to answer my questions and rev up my determination.
Sara is knowledgeable in every aspect of the exercise field and has experienced it from every angle. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to work so closely with her over the last six months. My second session ended with undeniable progress, a positive look on my future, and new boobs. The fitness journey that I embarked on in 2014 is far from over. I plan to take everything I have learned and utilize it on a daily basis. I look forward to watching my body development as I reach my fitness goals.
Thank you Sara Hurrle! I could not have done this without you. You are absolutely amazing and I wish the best for you in everything that you do.

I called, she answered, we met and the rest is history! Sara Hurrle is a pro’s pro. I knew this from the moment we spoke on the phone. Then, I stepped into her office, was surrounded by her hard-earned trophies and I had no doubt that I was in the right place. I listened and took notes on all the refreshing wisdom that is second nature to Sara.
Some key “Sara-isms” include:
Just follow what I am telling you. Don’t try to figure everything out. Just follow.
Be patient. This takes time.
Consistency is key.
Prepare, prepare, prepare!!
Not everyone does this or that… (Which made me want to do it!).
Discipline is a mindset. Make it habitual.
There isn’t any big secret. Just keep going. This is for a lifetime.
Embrace the concept of cause and effect.
Activity, Nutrition, Sleep, Water all matter!!
Eat!! Add food. Don’t cut it. Repair your metabolism. (Big light bulbs here!).
I listened, oh yep, I listened. Then, I followed and I fell in love with the process. However, beyond these key pointers, Sara possesses the ability to sense exactly how a person needs to be guided. One size does not fit all and Sara instinctually customizes her no-nonsense feedback to the individual while tossing in heavy doses of humor and fun. I saw this every step of the way. To sum up, if you are serious, make a decision, take action, listen, follow and trust. Sara knows what she is talking about and she’ll guide you to transform from the Inside Out.

Before the show:
When I step up on stage tomorrow, I want myself to remember that no matter what happens I have come a long way. I worked hard; I did what I was told to do; and, I didn’t make any excuses. So, no matter what, I am a winner!
When I look back and think of all of the times that my family made fun of me for being an overweight kid, I wish I could go back in time and tell the younger version of me that I will be fine.
I grew up in a family that always made fun of me for being me. Who was I? A chubby kid? But, I was so much more. My family was (actually is) obsessed with appearances. I was always told that I was too fat and not smart enough. I will never forget what my mother’s sister said to me at a family luncheon as I was reaching for seconds. She said, “Sadia, you’re like a garbage can. You’ll put anything in your mouth.” Ouch! That hurt! Bottom line is that I grew up so unhappy. I never ever thought I would amount to anything in my life because no one ever told me that I could.
In 2005, I saw Monica Brandt on the cover of Oxygen Magazine and I thought, I want to look like that. So, I hired a trainer and lost weight, but I didn’t look like Monica. Once I stopped training, I put on all the weight and then some. And over the years, I kept gaining more and more weight. By this time, I wasn’t really happy with myself anymore. I was just so busy with graduate school and becoming somebody that weight was the last thing on my mind. Actually it was the first thing on my mind. I just didn’t know what to do about it.
Then in 2009, the best thing happened to me. I met Jordan and fell head over heels in love. I remember mentioning to him that I wanted to do a figure competition and for the first time ever, he didn’t look at me funny, or blink or say that I was nuts. He just said, “Do it.” It was refreshing to hear someone have confidence in me. When Jordan and I got married, I weighed 165 lbs. I was the heaviest I had ever been and despite him loving me for who I was, I didn’t love me. In 2010, I joined a boot camp and with the help of a coach, started training for my first figure competition. I started eating right and working out and losing weight. We chose a tentative date for me to compete, but even before the date arrived, I felt burnt out and quit. I had a lot of weight to lose and not being “stage ready” in time killed my aspirations. Five months later, I started training for a competition again, but quit shortly after because I wasn’t getting the support I needed from my coach at the time. I had also changed jobs and the pressure of a new job wasn’t conducive to training for a figure competition either. I felt so sad. Not only had I failed once. I had failed twice to reach a goal I had had since 2005.
Finally in June of this year, I started getting the competition itch again. I knew I didn’t want to train with my old coach. I needed someone new; a fresh approach; someone who will help me attain my goal. That’s when I heard of Sara Hurrle. I don’t know what it was. The sassy hairdo, the unabashed frankness in her interviews, the big smile… whatever it was, I emailed her on July 6th and asked if she was accepting new clients. She said yes and the rest is history!
From the get go, Sara was honest about her expectations. She told me that if I did what she asked me to do I will be ready for that stage in November. With her, it was going to happen and I was going to work my butt off to make it happen. Also, I never once felt alone. I was introduced to her “Inside Out” philosophy and met a wonderful group of women in various stages of life. We were all working toward the same goal and for the first time in my life, I felt like I can do this! I can reach my goal. I finally felt like I have found “my people.” I don’t have to be anybody else, but me.
This journey has been tough, but I have learnt things about myself that I didn’t know I was capable off. Yes, I became stronger physically, but I gained a mental fortitude that I didn’t expect from myself. What I have realized throughout this journey is that I can do whatever I want to do and I can be whatever I want to be. I have finally affirmed to myself that I am “worth it.” I am worth having the best that I can have. And, nobody gave that to me. I did it for myself. I had a goal in mind and I achieved it. I have realized that no matter what we expect from others, it is the disappointment from failing ourselves that upsets us the most. For the first time in my life, I didn’t disappoint myself. I am worthy of success and I deserve it!
After the show:
Oh my God! I did it! I had the courage to step out onto that stage with a teeny tiny bikini on! I have never worn a bikini in my life and there I was standing on that stage. Nothing prepares you for that moment. But, I did it and I feel empowered! Who would’ve thought this chubby girl from Pakistan would stand in front of a crowd of strangers and strut her stuff on stage? Well, this former chubby girl did it. Holy cow! I have my balls back!
I loved everything about Saturday. I loved the tanning, the makeup, the suit, the jewelry, and the excitement backstage. Heck, I even loved getting my butt glued! But, you know what the best part of Saturday was? Realizing that I am a competitor. The point is that I have finally found a sport that accepts me. Why I ever thought I didn’t belong in this sport is beyond me? It was definitely fear gnawing at me at check-in on Friday night when I didn’t see a person in the crowd that looked like me. But now that I think about it, how awesome is it that despite my cultural background, I did a figure competition?
The one thing I know for sure is that I want to do a competition again. Now that my feet are wet, I want to keep getting better. Having the show end has been tough for me mentally. I am trying to find a new balance in my life. For four and a half months I was singlehandedly focused on a goal. Now that I have reached that goal, I feel like something is missing. But, now it’s time to set new goals. In four and half months, I built a body that allowed me to compete for the first time. Now, I want to work hard at creating a physique that will allow me to step on the national stage in 2013.
To end, I want to say that I can’t imagine how different my life would be right now if I had quit this journey in September. Thank God I didn’t! I don’t know where I am headed, or what the future holds for me. The one thing I do know is that I have finally found my passion and I will give it everything I have because it is everything I want.

Sara, I want to thank you for your support in finding my way back to healthy and being the athlete I was. Words cannot describe how I feel about myself inside and out. You truly are a blessing to me and many. You have helped me transform my inner self and shown me how to be accountable for my feelings and behaviors. My body has transformed but I have transformed as a person and I thank you. I have tried so many times to have this “feeling” , unfortunately this feeling doesn’t last long because I cheat myself. I didn’t have the confidence to continue and went back to my old crappy way of eating. I know now I can continue this healthy lifestyle with the realistic plan you have in place for me. I want to be a role model for my daughter and teach her that skinny sucks and strong is the way to be. I am only able to do this by showing her what strong looks like and eating healthy! I am doing this daily because of you. I am a mom of two and when I started with you I had a 7 month old and a five year old. I work full time and have a busy schedule like most people. Your guidance and coaching is amazing! You made a plan that fits my busy life and a plan that worked! If anyone is thinking of making that change for a healthy lifestyle Sara will help you make it happen. I am truly blessed to have you in my life and I know our friendship will continue to grow. Thank you beyond words!

The journey to success Inside and Out is truly that. For the last 3 months, I have seen myself grow in a spiritual and confident manner, which I lost through life experiences. I think we can all say that sometimes we loose ourselves as we get older when certain things happen in our life. For a couple of years, I have always wanted to get back into the fitness industry with competing. I competed 13 years ago and didn’t have a great experience, mainly because my trainer was in another state. I had communication through email, but mainly did it on my own. As I recently had my second child over a year ago, the thought of competing was stronger than ever. I really felt it was a calling and as I turn 40 here in the next couple of months, I decided I would compete. I met Sara Hurrle through a mutual friend and decided to speak with her. Right upfront, she told me it’s not about winning it’s the journey you take and for a minute was caught off guard. Though Sara was indeed correct. The competition wasn’t what mattered but getting back in touch with loving me again and taking control of being confident and positive to Jennifer Stilson. Sara Hurrle really brought the best in me with this huge lesson in life that no amount of money can buy. She knows her stuff inside and out. From fueling the body to also gaining muscle, she transposed my body. Though she also again gave me LIGHT and LOVE in myself, which really is the most important thing that I got as a gift from this experience. Sara told me to “Trust the process” and indeed that is so true, as the struggle at times was me believing in myself. Sara is a strong woman who doesn’t sugar coat anything and tells you like it is. We had some heart to heart discussions through it all and I believe she is a pheunominal coach that brings more than changing your appearance, but inside too. If anything, I would tell women that you are only as strong as your mind is and if you need to find that confidence and power, plus have a healthy body, I encourage them to speak with Sara. Team INSIDE and OUT is just that a total experience from both that you reach when you work with Sara Hurrle.

I am more than pleased with my overall experience on Team Inside Out. When people say “Sara Hurrles your coach? You’re in great hands” they are speaking the complete truth. When I first met with Sara, she discovered my metabolism was very slow due to excessive amounts of cardio and low carbs/calories in the past. However, she helped me achieve the best shape I’ve ever been in, while keeping my metabolism and bodies health in mind. She identified the problem and was able to provide me with all the tools I needed to repair it. She is a coach who truly cares about you. With her great amount of knowledge on training, nutrition, posing, and overall competition prep… trusting the process isn’t a problem. She radiates a motivating and hardworking vibe that makes you want to push yourself to your limits. It’s also great that she establishes relationships with all her clients and is someone you feel comfortable going to when you need a some tough love or even just a hug. I am more than proud to call myself a member of Team Inside Out!

As a kid, I was always very active, and never struggled with weight. I ran track, played soccer, danced, and ate anything I wanted. My mom didn’t care what we had for breakfast – she just cared that we ate. So … pop tarts, sugary cereal, and instant breakfast were staples in our diet. While she always made sure we ate our fruits and veggies, we also had our share of treats – soda, cookies, ice cream, banana bread, girl scout cookies, brownies, pizza, mac n cheese … only to name a few!
In college, my good nutrition declined and my sugary habits became worse (especially after I quit smoking). I found myself eating sugar all the time – after every meal. I would go to the bagel shop and order a bagel sandwich AND a cookie. Or I would go to chipotle (eat the entire burrito) and then go to TCBY next door. I would mindlessly eat pints of ice cream or bowls or muddy buddies chex mix. Did I mention I wasn’t active at this time? Well, I can say, I rapidly gained 40+lbs!
From 2002-2012 (10 years!), I have been battling my weight. In this time period, I became a group exercise instructor, personal trainer, and master nutrition therapist. You’d think I’d be super skinny right? My diet improved every year from college to now and I became more fit; however, I was constantly trying to out train a bad diet. Put otherwise, I was giving myself good nutrition (staples / meals), but I was constantly overindulging in sweets ~ telling myself I had “burned them off” in my workouts.
My heaviest weight: 204! Starting weight at contest prep: 175! Today’s weight: 145!
Over the years, I had lost / gained weight, but for many years, I was stuck at size 12/14 and 185lbs. I taught BODYPUMP, RPM, ran, completed a ½ marathon, a couple triathlons, and figured, that was the size I was meant to be. I believed since I had a high protein diet, ate a lot of vegetables, I didn’t eat a lot of bread, I could eat ice cream every night? I laugh as I reflect back on this …
In 2011, I met the love of my life and we went gluten free. I lost 10lbs – from a change in diet and from being happy (less late night emotional eating). However, we indulged in a few too many cocktails, gf pancakes, and I still never gave 100% commitment to reaching my goals.
In this time period, I have always had the dream to compete in figure. I never had the personal trainer physique – even thought I knew I was fit and strong. I had attempted to compete in years past, but due to a lack of discipline, poor coach, time management, injuries, finances, and so much more – never made it to the stage.
In July 2012, I decided 3rd time was a charm … I was ready to break all of my habits, hire the best coach (Sara Hurrle), and give 100% for 18 weeks! Tomorrow I step on stage and I am so proud! I wrote a list of goals the weekend before I started and I can say I have accomplished them all! After a decade of cheating on diets, and yo-yoing my weight, I made it!
Sara Hurrle and the Inside Out team is amazing! Sara will push you to the limit in the team workouts and also challenge you to find what it is inside that is making you unhappy on the outside. The “journey” will teach you discipline, willpower, but also offer so much support, confidence, and will change your life.
I have a great career, a great boyfriend, an amazing family, wonderful friends, but something was always missing inside – something that kept this outgoing girl feeling insecure. I thought if I had a great body I would be happy. While I am pleased with the transformation, I learned that there isn’t anything or anyone that can make me happy… but me!
The contest prep is challenging, enlightening, and if I could do it all over, I WOULD! I had many struggles during these 4 months, many moments of doubt and frustration. On the other side, all of the hours in the gym, and sacrifices for food, are so worth it! I went from a size 12 to a size 4/6. I am stronger now than ever before. Most importantly, I have integrity in what I coach as a trainer and nutritionist. I am no longer addicted to sugar. I am fueling my body, instead of trying to out run a pint of Ben & Jerry’s. I look, move, act, and talk like an athlete.
Sara Hurrle ~ thank you for believing in me. Thank you for pushing me. Thank you for providing the tools to help me achieve my goal. I will forever be grateful for you as a coach and a friend. I am excited to step out on stage tomorrow, but I am most proud to wear your team uniform and represent Inside Out!

I remember the first time Sara Hurrle and I spoke at a local gym… initially, the idea of actually competing in a NPC figure competition was way over my head. I was completely clueless as to how to even begin this process of physical transformation in pursuit of stepping on stage as a figure competitor. Throughout the process of dieting and the vigorous exercise routine, there were many times when it seemed she had more faith in me, than I had in myself. I definitely needed that extra push to start and finish the transformation journey. When all in doubt, Sara always assured me, “I will have you ready in time,” and she did. The transformation journey is difficult and at times confusing, but because Sara is an IFBB Figure Pro herself; she understands and can relate to her competitors first hand. She is completely supportive throughout the entire process. She monitored my progress every two weeks where she adjusted my diet and exercise routine as needed to strengthen weak areas. What’s so easy about the process is that Sara will tell you this is what you need to do and if you do what she says, you will have success. It doesn’t require your own judgment on things… if you just simply follow her directions, you will not fail in this journey.
For my first figure show Max Muscle Mile High, I placed 3rd in Figure Novice B. I started working with Sara at 149lbs and 12 weeks later by show time, I was 120lbs. Sara will provide you with all the tools and connections you will need to get on stage looking phenomenal. I’m very thankful that I experienced my transformation journey and first show with Sara as my coach. I seriously couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
